Description
Efficient cleaning of CO₂ from breathing air
The air taken in by the compressor is routed through the AERO-GUARD via an ingenious bypass system.
Only approximately two-thirds of the air flows through the filter cartridge, which absorbs the CO2 contained in the air.
In this way, the CO2 content is reduced to one-third of the value of the intake air, significantly below the strict limits of DIN EN 12021¹.
At the same time, filter service life is maximised. Air humidification in the housing base safeguards outstanding filter efficiency under all conditions – even in the driest of climates!
¹ Assuming the maximum CO2 input concentration of the intake air is not exceeded.
Efficient removal of CO2 from NITROX downstream of membrane systems
An ingenious bypass system passes the NITROX generated by the NITROX membrane system through the AERO-GUARD-OX. Only about four fifths of the air flow through the filter cartridge, which absorbs the CO2 contained in the NITROX.
This reduces the CO2 content to around 20% of the value at the membrane outlet.
NITROX mixture humidification in the housing base safeguards outstanding filter efficiency under all conditions – even with extremely dry gas mixtures!
Cost-effective operation
At a free air delivery rate of up to 1000 l/min and a CO2 input concentration of 1000 ppm (with AERO-GUARD-OX: 450 l/min), the filter cartridge has a service life of approx. 50 hours (with AERO-GUARD-OX: 37 hours). If the free air delivery rate of the compressor is lower, the service life of the filter cartridge is extended accordingly. If the CO2 input concentration is lower/higher, the service life is extended/shortened accordingly.
Easy handling and maintenance-free
The filter cartridge can be replaced in the blink of an eye without the need for any tools. The water ballast in the base of the barrel, which is necessary to optimise the function of the filter medium, is replaced at the same time.
